The best way to learn any skill is to practice and teach it. This blog allows talented folks the ability to critique and be critiqued. Techniques will be perfected, eyes will become sharper, and we will go from good to great. Honest, constructive, and sincere (not mean-spirited) comments are welcomed and appreciated. We will focus primarily on animation principles with flexibility on other subjects (technology, clean-up).

That's freakin' hilarious, keep it up!
The lesson came along pretty nicely too. The mouth & cheeks need a little adjusting.
Looking good James. The outside oval needs a little thickening up in parts, but other than that it's pretty on-point. I think your work is really starting to improve. Keep at it.
Really good progress. A problem I see is the chunkiness of the cheeks. You capture the meatiness, but you have to angle them a little closer to Prestons drawing. It's tough. I know.
Keep going,
David
You're making great progress, James. Make sure the line for the nose is thicker on bottom so it looks like a shadow. The thin to thick lines can make a big difference.
