I consider myself very fortunate to be a part of this really great project! Thank you to everyone involved!
Here's my lesson 1:
I think the last one turned out okay, but i think i need to raise the jawline..
P.S:
Thanks for all the great links to the old articles on John's page.
Btw, can anybody tell me if this blog older than us 15 joining recently, or was there a previous batch of artists before going through this book?

WOW!! I cannot see anything wrong with it!! That is as perfect as it can get!!
And this blog seems like something new. David Omar 9ks for Candlesticks) started it. Then me and Trevor were the first ones to join.
Oh i see, thanks for the clear up, its just weird that John K linked to this in a 2007 post. Perhaps he updated it when he got wind of it?
Hey, that's great!
It captures the spirit of the original very well. The shape of the egg looks good. It's a little big, though. The bottom of the egg head squashes a bit at the bottom in the Preston one.
Great job,
David O.
P.S. The blog is only a couple weeks old. I could kick myself for not starting it 2 years ago when John started the whole thing. It's here now, never too late to learn this stuff.
These look great, how large did you draw the third one?
The only nitpicky things I can see are the shapes of the eyes and nose. I think in the Preston drawing the eye shape gets a little wider at the top. Great looking lines as well.
Hey thanks for the comment Caleb, i noticed that eye thing now!
FYI: the head is 12cm/almost 5 inches tall, and about 8cm/just over 3 inches at its widest.
