I think this blog is dead...
Never mind, we resurrected it.

The best way to learn any skill is to practice and teach it. This blog allows talented folks the ability to critique and be critiqued. Techniques will be perfected, eyes will become sharper, and we will go from good to great. Honest, constructive, and sincere (not mean-spirited) comments are welcomed and appreciated. We will focus primarily on animation principles with flexibility on other subjects (technology, clean-up).

Any suggestions on how to start the blog up, again. Maybe decrease the membership to form a tighter group. Or invite more people to bring some energy to this blog?
Let me know

Funny timing, I just posted a bunch of model-sheet studies on my blog. I would appreciate any critiques.
This wasn't true for me, but maybe people got bored with this 'cause we were just drawing egg heads. (I actually really enjoyed it). But maybe if we draw whatever we wanted??
I still plan on going thru the lessons. Any new people that want to should be able to join. Other than that, maybe everyone should check in just to make sure they didn't "go with nature" and move into a cave somewhere.
I was doing plenty of studies too, just not posting them.
Maybe if we turned this into a junior college version of John's college. Where we do all the lessons John posts on his blog. And we critique each other.
I see some of us have done the Howie Post layout lesson. Can we post it here and get critiques?
Patrick,
Would you be able to give me a hand with the admin. stuff of this blog. I think your idea is solid. John is only picking a limited number of students. I think we should go public and open it up for everyone to post. It'll help us have first dibs on some awesome talent to help us out with the Termites stuff.
drop me a line!
David
That sounds like a good idea to me.
I think we should close this blog, and invite a smaller group. The people active in the termites blog, and anyone here that seems more serious about studies, but not involved John's "college" blog
I guess we could do critiques of copies, and original work too. I kinda liked how some of us did copies, followed by caricatures, I remember Patrick did some cool ones of the egg guy, and I tried too.
Blog is open to new members and Termites have admin access. Let's see how that goes.

So should we invite John's commenters to join here, like you did David? Should I start a post for the Howie Post layout lesson?
And I think it'd be fine if members of John's college participated in our "junior" college. They would have great advice etc. And they may be interested in joining the Termites
