lesson 5 patrick

UPDATE: latest lesson 5 with inking.
I noticed his eyes aren't as crossed in this lesson. And I find Blair's approach to the far cheek in this one very interesting, I wonder if there's a science when it comes to "cheating" like that? What do you guys think?

Here is my lesson 5. I'm gonna do some more tomorrow

Excellent coppy. You guys really take it serious. But it seems to take allot of time to go trough the book this way.

These look really good, Patrick. The only thing I noticed on the ink is the line weights could be a little thicker.

As for the science to cheating the cheeks, I think it's a couple things. The face is wrapped around a 3d egg, but you only have so many lines to use to show a form with a cartoon. Since the egg lines show the skull shape, the cheek lines should stick out with the nose making a muzzle. Angles like this are always tough, but Preston's head reads well without being complex.

Good progress. After seeing your lesson 6 post, I can say that each of your post are getting better and better.
